Foosball Push Kick Shot Overview
This foosball push kick shot is different to the pull kick shot in ways. You don’t push the rod away from yourself with this shot when passing the ball and shooting. This shot is less common than any other shot. Mainly because a lot of the top players prefer to play pull shots. In many respects, the pull shot will generate more power and that’s why players will try this shot first. It’s much easier to pull off as well. It’s great to have many shots in your locker, but I would make this your main shot. This shot can be combined with a lot of shots that’s why it’s great to practise this skill and have it in your arsenal. The more shots you have at your disposal the more you will put your opponent off and put them off their game.

Learning to Set Up the Foosball Push Kick Shot
The setup for this shot begins with the ball on the inside of the player closest to you on the three attacking rod. You can do this shot really on either attack or defense. It really should be taken with your attacking players, but it can be done mainly for the surprise with your defense. We will go through this in full with you here and we will show you a video for instructions also. I always find reading isn’t the great help always and a video tutorial can be much more helpful.
We find a lot of players starting out grip the handle too hard. Keep a loose grip on the handle when playing. This will help you get a more natural feel for the game and maximise movement freely. In time you will know if you’re holding the handle right if there is space between your palm and handle. When taking this shot you must be able to pass the ball fluently and take an opened handed shot too. When you can do that this shot should not be a problem to learn. When taking the shot after the pass rolls your wrist upward to take the shot, it will help you get more power and speed when shooting.
